(Bug since Day 1)Can´t change FireTV-stick name

My Question or Issue

I have 4 Sticks at my home for my family and they have all Device names like "kitchen", "living room", "kids room", "bedroom".

It is not possible for the Amazon FireTV-stick to aquire the device name of the FireTV-stick and just calls every stick the same name "Amazon FireTV stick Gen 2".

This is a mess, because if I want to hear music in the kitchen I need to connect to every device to see, if it is the "kitchen"-stick. When my wife or kids watch netflix, I always interrupt them just because I'm trying to find the right device.

Could you please fix this Bug, which I have atleast for 5 years now?

Currently there is no way to manually rename the devices you see in the Connect tab.

If you think other users might also like it, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.
