on the sonos box, i can connect if i use my username and FB password but each time i try to play a spotify item, it says the account information is not valid. i have tried removing and readding
the forums say i should have a option to create a device password, but when i follow the link, it just goes to the edit profile page. i dont seem to have a page where i can manage my devices.
i have a premium account . I am linked to FB account
any ideas

You shouldn't need a device password if you have a Spotify username.
Just make sure you are logging in using your Spotify username and your dedicated Spotify password which you set when you registered your Spotify account (not your Facebook password). If you can't remember that password, you can request a reset from the password reset page, just enter your Spotify username (not your email address) and it should be sent to the email address on your online account.

I'm having this same issue and cannot resolve.....
I cant connect my Sonos device even though I have upgraded to a premium account (trial). It just says "Spotify on Sonus requires a Spotify Premium account. Upgrade at etc....."
I cant find any options on the Sonos app to add my Spotify details.
Any ideas, thanks

you need to have a premium account to properly connect to devices, like SONOS. Makes sense to me why. I had the same issue as in this thread, after creating a device user/passwrd - workes like a champ.
