My Question or Issue
I have a Samsung WIFI speaker which worked perfectly with Spotify until 2 days ago. For some reason, the speaker can no longer be found in the app.
The speaker workes fine with the Samsung app (see attached) - but not in Spotify.

Please advise how this can be fixed.

Thanks

Hi,

System is back - all is working fine now.

I must say that I still don't know what solved the problem. After I followed your instructions, nothing worked. Yesterday, I checked the connection again and found the WiFi speaker.

Thanks again for supporting.

Hey @aviramch, help's here.

Let's try a couple of things. First, reinstall the Spotify app for a fresh start. Keep in mind that you need to re-download any music you've downloaded for offline listening.

After that:

  • Restart all your devices (and speakers) by unplugging them and plugging them back in.
  • Make sure that all devices are on the same WiFi network.
  • Make sure that your device's software is up-to-date. If you don't know, check with your device's manufacturer for how to update the version software.
  • If possible, try switching between different networks and see if that helps.

Let us know how it goes 🙂

Dear Jemi,

Thanks for helping.

I did all that you instructed me with no success. All softwares are up-to-date.

I can see the WIFI speaker on the Samsung Multiroom App and also play music via the app. But when I switch to Spotify, Spotify app recognizes only my Laptop...

By the way, the WIFI speaker is not recognized in all Spotify platforms, Android, IOS and Windows. And, as I,  wrote previously, it worked perfectly few days ago..

Will appreciate your help.

Have a nice weekend,

Aviram
