Can't sign in to Spotify with UE Logitech Smart Radio

I upgraded my Squeezebox software to Logitech's new UE Smart Radio, and am trying to add the Spotify app -- without success. I tried via their web interface and keep getting an "invalid username or password" error message (I tried both my Spotify "plain" username and email adress with my password but neither worked).  Then I tried instead doing through their iPhone app, but I get an error message that the security certificate is invalid. Is there any other workaround?

Follow Up: 

I was so frustrated with the whole setup that I reverted to the original Squeezebox software. I don't understand why Logitech is offering two incompatible systems, or why they advertise switching systems no matter which one you're on, but I'm back where I started and everything works, including my Spotify account.
