Can't type username on Lumia 520

So, i made an account on my laptop and decided to also get it on my windows phone. I downloaded the app, pressed log in, and tried to put in the username. I couldn't click the username bar. the password bar was perfectly fine and i thought it must be my screen (my screen is shattered). So, i went to home and clicked the same area and it worked fine. Is there any reason this may not work?

Shouldn't be! Might be worth deleting and re-installing the app in case it is just confused.
