Can you use Spotify as a standalone music player?

Hi  all, I was just wondering. Can I use Spotify to play my own personal purchased music from my phone?

I have a premium subscription, I just don't have the time to try and find all my music I purchased, and create playlists to enjoy them. It's just easier for me to transfer all my music I have, from my PC to my phone. 

Then I was hoping if you could use Spotify to play the music in my phones library?

You can make Spotify your all-in-one music player. In addition to over 50 million tracks we offer, you can also use your Spotify app to play music files stored on your device (which we call "local files").

Check out this help page on how to manage your local files. Keep in mind that files or downloads from illegal sources are not permitted.
