Continues to play after exiting on Fire TV only after starting Playstation Vue

I recently started using Playstation Vue and noticed this odity. Since there is no "stop" in the spotify app I pause it. Then back out if it. I then open Playstaion Vue. If I pause what I am watching this has the opposite effect with spotify which then proceedes to continue playing where I left off the app. Press pause again and Spotify stops and Vue sarts and so on. I have tried to replicate in the following, Netfix, Amazon Prime and Plex. I cannot replicate this. Only happens when I use Spotify before Vue. I think the problem is there is no "stop" in Spotify. The only way to stop this is to go into manage apps and force stop spotify.

I have a similar issue when playing Spotify on FireTV.  After I exit Spotify it keeps running in the background.  When I'm watching a show and pause the show, Spotify is playing.
