Crackling sound when change song or rewind in Windows Phone 8.1 - hurts ears

I recently updated my phone software to Windows Phone 8.1 and have encountered an incompatibility issue. Starting a new song manually (not by queue) or rewinding/forwarding during a playback makes a very high crackling sound which really hurts my ears.

I seriously have to unsubscribe from premium until this is fixed since this can really damage the ear drum. The crackling sound is high even when the volume is tuned down.

My phone model is the Samsung Ativ S, unlocked.

Sounds painful. Could you just try reinstalling the spotify app?

I have tried that, as well as hard resetting the phone to manufacturer’s default. The issue remains.
