Deleting playlists from Windows Phone causes Spotify to hang

All, following on from an earlier post of mine - 

I tend to delete albums after having listened to them on my windows phone, in order to recover space [why oh why can't Spotify access the storage card??  Microsoft  - you must be aware of the numerous grumblings].

If I stop listening to music, and resume later, Spotify will not work, the app hangs.  A hard/soft reboot makes no difference; Spotify starts but does not proceed.  The only way around this is to uninstall the app, and reinstall.

This appears to be linked to deleting tracks from my playlist on my phone.

The last version of Spotify on the same phone always worked i.e. didn't hang if playlists were deleted.

Any work-arounds?  I can remove using my home pc.
