Disable Spotify connect when not on the speakers network

Hi.

I love the spotify connect functionality. But I hate it as well.

This is my case. I'm home sick and my son is on the bus going to school putting on his headphones and starts playing Meshuggah. No sound in this ears. He turns the volume up. At home, me being sick and asleep my expensive speakers screams out Meshuggah to the extent that they almost cracks.

How often this has happend when I'm not at home???

How can this be a feature that you cannot turn off?

Shouldn't Spotify connect only work when you are whithin the same WiFi network?

Best regards

Ola

Hey @Oliboli70, help's here.

The Connect feature saves the last session and can reconnect regardless of network connection. This is why your son can play from a distance. This can usually be solved by unplugging/replugging the speaker, or simply connect another device to the speaker which will override the last saved session.

Besides, your son should get the option to choose which device to play on, and he should choose his own device.

Hope that helps! 🙂
