ERROR: "Could not add to My Shazam Tracks"

ERROR: "Could not add to My Shazam Tracks"

I've a premium Spotidy account.

I connected Shazam with Spotify.

Error message from Shazam: "Could not add to My Shazam Tracks".

I found other messages about that error here but no answers.

In Shazam, I can manually add a song to a playlist on Spotify. So Shazam and Spotidty seem to be well connected.

I tried to create a "My Shazam Tracks" playlist but it doesn't help.

Thanks in advance.

same issue here...

Oh so lame. It's been months. I submitted a ticket with Shazam as well. I don't understand why they can't fix it. Adding each tag one by one is such a drag.

At least they acknolwedge it, but again I can't even remember the last time it actually worked.

https://support.shazam.com/hc/en-us/articles/205139467--My-Shazam-Tracks-Spotify-playlist-issues

IMHO the issue arises when you associate your Spotify account with various apps in multiple platforms, e.g., when you first associated your Spotify account with Shazam on an Android device, and then you switched to iOS. Anyway here'a my fiz for that:
1. Make sure you can add My Shazam tracks to other Spotify playlists
2. Go to The My Shazam Tracks playlist on Spotify and make it Non-Collaborative, which should normally mean that it was set as Public and Collaborative
2.1. Wait for some seconds
3. Once you made it Non-Collaborative, you may notice that (somehow) this time you will have the option to make it Public (this is weird because you only made it Non-Collaborative, not Secret; so why you're being asked for making it Public?)
3.1. Anyway - don't overthink and just make it Public : )
3.2. Wait for some seconds
4. Now make it Collaborative
4.1. You know, the 'wait for' thing again
5. Run Shazam and let me know if it works

Unfortunately this did not work for me....

Thanks but not working for me.

Oh dear, I opened a ticket months ago and I am still waiting on a miracle update from Shazam or Spotify to actually use that feature..

Same issue here as well. Manual adding seems to be working more than fine. Unfortunately automatic addition simply refuses to work.

My observation -as I also have the same problem as described here- is that if you have "collaborative sharing" on ANY of your lists, then they will NOT show inside the SHAZAM app, when you are to select the list you want to add songs to.
Also there seems to be NO SHARING between shazam and spotify ig you DO HAVE a collaborative list (a list that both you and some other friends you have shared it with can add and delete music to and from)

So removing ALL collaborative lists, seemed to make the process above sync a few songs correctly, and then, no more...

So the collaborative functions seems to screw up the sharing/syncing between the two programs...

But, how to fix it again?

But darn, one cant even go to Shazam.com to log in with facebook. The links doesnt work... Also trying to log in with an email there, sends you a new activation each time, instead of logging you in on the site, so no wonder the syncing between spotify and shazam doesnt work, as the whole shazam site seems to not work (in ie or firefox)

So cant log in there, to see if there are some settings to play with or fix there.
In facebook, under apps, i removed the shazam, and then readded it from the phone - with no luck
(still claims it was already connected to spotify, even though it was not, as I had removed it before trying to reconnect from the phone...

Shaam - please... Fix this mess! And spotify, also see what you guys can to to make shazam work correctly.

The simple solution is switching apps ....

Soundhound correctly implemented this fumctionality: http://www.soundhound.com/

I have both apps because they use different libraries meaning they recognize different songs giving me more results if the other app returns a "not found"

Soundhound however works like a charm with spotify integration.

You're right... Soundhound seems better at doing the job I want done,...
Soundhound can even rocognize humming and singing. (just tested that)

But...

On my android, when app has been installed, and I logged in using the facebook login button.

There seems to be no way of intergrating spotify with it.

Cant find any menu that says anything about that.

Under settings, near the bottom, I did find the menu "advanced" and there it was presented a way to select your current  "music store" and there I could make a choice between "google play" or "spotify" and selected spotify, ofcourse...

But where is the "link/intergrate/connect to spotify option" hidden???

Cant find it... and that is almost as annoying as knowing "where it is" inside "shazam" where it didn't work correctly...

Here are pictures of "the menu presented when soundhound found your song" and the complete "settings" menu
where should I look? PS: Im on an Android phone if that has anything to do with it....

The only app that seems to do the "connecting with spotify" properly is "TrackID tm"

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonyericsson.trackid&hl=en

But then again, that app is not as impressive as soundhound, or shazam, i think...

So would love to figure outhow to "connect to spotify" properly, with  Shazam and SoundHound....

Update on my *personal* case — I was able to use the feature with my iPad (same Shazam account) + Spotiy (same account).

Shazam creates the correct "My Shazam Tracks" playlist in Spotify.

Shazam adds correctly to the playlist after find a track.

Bad news is, — the feature still doesn ot work from the Shazam app on my iPhone 😕 have no idea what is happening.. and again would love to hear from support teams..

I was finally able to get it worked on my iPhone as well. You need to uninstall the Shazam / Shazam Encore apps on your phone. You will loose your shazam tags on your phone in the process but they will be saved on the Shazam online platform if you have a Shazam account at http://www.shazam.com/myshazam (for now the sync does not work in the reverse direction so you won't be able to reload them on your phone, but hey are sowhere "safe")!

What is the classic procedure that I followed after :

  • Reinstall Shazam on iOS
  • Log on Shazam Account
  • Activate Spotify integration
  • Shazam and finally enjoy the feature I have been wiating for 12 months.

Ok so I had the same "could not add to Spotify" error message for couple months and "My Shazam Tracks" playlist on Spotify was empty...

I went to Shazam settings, disconnected from Spotify account and reconnected. And by magic, I now see a full list of tracks in ""My Shazam Tracks" and shazamed tracks are automatically added to the playlist...

Disconnect and reconnect to my Spotify account from the Shazam app solved the problem.

The disconnect-reconnect thing worked for me on my iPhone. Let's see if it keeps the connection, too.

Yeah, just like I expected - it worked for one day. Now it's broken again. Uninstalling Shazam and trying my luck with Soundhound.

Hello,
