Error regarding the artist "The Sword"

Error regarding the artist "The Sword"

I'm having troubles with the artist  "The Sword". I've got Premium, live in Denmark.

2 issuses: A) Some kind of data/filing error. B) An album is not available at all.

A)

In my Windows 7 desktop app, a search for "The Sword", results in two identical hits: The Sword and The Sword. One result holds the Gods of the Earth and Age of Winters albums where the other yields the album Warp Riders as well as an album by a different The Sword band (or thesWord, as it is spelled on the album cover).

B)

Their latest album Apocryphon, is nowhere to be found in any searches for either the album title or the band name. This puzzles me, as it seems to be or have been on Spotify somewhere/sometime (google spotify + Apocryphon). https://play.spotify.com/album/3igIcF6JFEt56alILPOas9?play=true&utm_source=open.spotify.com&utm_medi... .   Also, the playlist appears in my Sonos app, but I cannot play it.

Please advice

Regards, Frank

The reason is that the artist or their music label has decided to block it in your country.

It works fine for me in the USA.

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.
Spotify has no control over what content is available.

Sometimes it is only available in certain countries, while access is blocked to others.

Thank you for your reply Matt 🙂

It does give an explanation to half of my post, namely B). Why oh why the label decided to pull the album in Denmark (Europe?) sometime last year is... interesting!

A) remains unanswered and must be an error in the filing of albums in Spotify.

Usually an artist will have all of their discography on one artist page.

When it comes to music, sometimes there will be multiple artists with the same name. It could be that somehow there was a mistake and the album got added to the wrong artist page of the same name.

Read this thread on how to report metadata errors such as albums on the wrong artist page:
