My Question or Issue

I recently purchased a new amazon firestick. I used an old version for a few years.

I went to play spotify and it will get through maybe 1 song before rebooting my entire system.

It turns off " says no service.. check input" and a second later my entire TV and firestick will reboot and restart.

I can then go in and log into the spotify App again. And once again it will play 1 song barely and then reboot.

I have cleared cache and cookies. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the spotify app on my firestick and on my galaxy 7 phone.

I have unplugged every cord and wire.

Please help me ! I want to be able to play spotify from my TV again!

My firestick does NOT do this with any other app. Only spotify.

Please advise!

I have this problem on 2 TV’s when using Spotify on the Amazon Firestick.

This issue has been going on since July 2019. Spotify REFUSES to fix it. They have had updates too!

Basically the Fire stick overheats.

After listening for a while go feel it gets HOT.

Solution:

I had the same issue for several months. At some point my Fire TV stick overheated and shut down - and it only happened when I was using the Spotify app.

I removed the plastic cover and I had no crashes or overheating problems ever since.

It is really easy to remove the cover. It's just clipped together - no screws.

I didn't apply additional heat sinks.

I hope I could help you all out and you can enjoy your playlists on your home entertainment system again!

Cheers,

Benno
