My Question or Issue

I’ve been having issues with a glitchy/distorted noise that plays during the last 5 seconds of songs on some albums. The sound alternates from channel to channel, one second on each and the last second it’s in both channels.

It only appears when casting to chromecast audio, and only on certain albums. There are no issues replaying the albums in iOS app or through bluesound speakers or other “Spotify connect” devices.

What is causing this? And can anyone verify if they are experiencing the same issue?

Thanks for getting in touch! Let's see what we can do to get it back to work.

Could you try updating the Firmware on your Chromecast and also rebooting your router.

Reinstall the app on your mobile device as well using these instructions.

If this still does not work, could you try moving the router and Chromecast closer to each other and let us know if that makes a difference?
