High quality via Spotify Connect - worth buying a streamer?

Hi,

I’m currently using Spotify via my Samsung Smart TV to an optical toslink Connection to a DAC. I use Spotify connect from my phone to controle the music. I’m somewhat dissapointed of the sound quality. When I try to increase the sound quality, it seems you cannot do this via the Samsung TV app. My question is if you can go to the high quality streaming option if I use a streamer Which supports Spotify connect ( Streamer Pro for example) or if you can only use this the high quality option when listening via PC.

When using a streamer that is hooked up to your TV and uses Spotify Connect (such as Chromecast or Chromecast Audio) you can't change the quality setting but usually it is streamed at the highest quality available. Just make sure you have a good internet connection. It may vary by what streaming device you are using, but generally Spotify Connect uses the highest quality setting.

Note: Spotify Connect and high quality audio requires a premium Spotify account
