Highlighting Songs in Playlists

So I make use of the Starred playlist, having all songs I have liked when I listen to an album in there as well as my actual 'favourites', so it's running into a large number of songs.

However, when I'm browsing artists/albums I have no idea if any of those songs are on my playlists. Therefore, unless I remember, I don't know if I've even listened to that album before. When I listen to a bunch of new albums I can hardly remember if I've heard them before or not after a few months.

So I'm wondering if there's anyway to highlight songs that are in playlists while browsing, or something similar?

It seems features such as the message for duplicate songs and showing what playlists songs are already in have been removed... they would have been a way around what I'm trying to do.

Hello there,

When you want add a song to a playlist, the pop-up to skip duplicate song is always there in the latest version.

I tried before posting and it doesn't pop up anything for me.

Either way, it wouldn't really help my issue overall too much, as I would still have to try add several songs of every album to know which I'd already listened to... and that's assuming I liked some songs enough to add to the starred list.

It's one aspect I preferred with iTunes, wherever in the program you saw a song, it would/could show your rating of it. Here we only have a playlist to indicate a good rating, but no way to cross reference in other parts of the browser.
