My Question or Issue

I don't want to use the spotify webplayer. But Spotify insist I use it. How do I get rid of it? Every time I press a Spotify link that someone shared, the web player starts. I want to use the desktop version.

Thanks for posting regarding this.

In this case, we'd suggest making sure that you've toggled on the setting to Allow Spotify to opened from the web. You can locate on your desktop app's Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Startup and Window Behavior.
