I'm so frustrated with local files. Diabolical.

OK, this is my last attempt at getting what I want....

I have opened a Google Play free account and it does what I need (see below), but work puts a firewall which prevents me from playing either Google Play or the Spotify app. The only way I can stream music is through the Spotify Webplayer....

So here goes.

I have about 18000 "top" tracks which I like to (must 🙂 listen to in random order whenever and whereever (mobile for the commute and at home / laptop at work). About 4000 tracks are from local files which I would like to manage "centrally" (like Google Play does).

I'm very frustrated with Spotify (excellent curating) as it simply can't seem to get to grips on how to handle large collections.

I can't use the "library" as it will not manage "local files" (can't add local files to the library) and I can't use playlists as they will not accept more than 10,000 files). The facility to create multiple playlists and shuffle them has also disappeared.

I don't seem to find a way to work around this, is anyone in the same situation ?

Thank you !
