Last.fm is scrobbling songs without me opening the app or listening to the song

My Question or Issue

Last.fm keeps scrobbling the last song I listened to dozens of times, I think whenever Spotify opens in the background on my Pixel. The problem is, I'm not purposefully opening the app, let alone listening to the song that's scrobbling. I tried to revoke access to background data for Spotify, but it didn't change anything. This is seriously messing with my last.fm stats and I don't know how to fix it.
