Local files still appearing in playlist after deletion

I'm having quite an annoying problem with my starred playlist. I used to have about 20 songs in there which were local files on my computer. Upon syncing with my phone, the starred playlist now has an extra 20 tracks greyed out which it cannot play. I've since deleted these files from the playlist but despite the constant resets they still appear on my phone, and if I view my spotify profile I can see that it thinks the offline tracks are in the playlist, despite the actual starred playlist no longer having them.

Is there a way to do a 'hard' clear of my starred playlist?
