New Radio functionality causes problem when Spotify used with Google Home

I've read about the changes to the Song Radio feature: here and here

It's working fine on my Samsung phone. However, now when I try playing a song through my Google Home, which is linked to Spotify, streaming through my phone, Google Home plays the requested song and then stops. [Edit: Now it repeats the same song over and over.] Prior to sometime last week, when I'd request a song through Google Home, it would play a song radio station.

I've verified that Autoplay is set in my phone's Spotify settings. 

My guess is that it's because Spotify changed the default behaviour playing a song from song radio to playing just that song and stopping. You must use a menu to opt into a song radio. Google Home would need to do something to support that.

Is there something I'm missing? If not, I'm hoping both Spotify and Google are aware of this issue and working together to resolve it.
