PS4 Spotify Playback Issues

My Question or Issue

Music usually pauses and resumes every second or will stop completely despite the track still going. Playback issues resemble buffering in the erratic frequency of the pauses. This happens with both music and podcasts, and occus regardless of if I play through the playstation app directly or connect to it with the desktop/iOS version. 

I don't have this issue on any other device. I've tried reinstalling the app, disconnecting my account from the app, resetting the playstation itself, and nothing has worked.
