Problems using Roku app

I've been using Spotify via Roku3 for months, but this week the app has started acting up. Specifically, pressing any arrow key once on my remote will click multiple times, so I cannot use the search feature. Pressing 'up' gets 'upupupup'. I tried logging out and reinstalling the app to see if that would help, but the problem persists, and in fact the same problem prevents me from entering my username etc. to log back in. Any ideas? Also, the Roku app has always been extremely crappy and poor quality, even when it was working correctly--was it created by Spotify, by Roku, or by a third party?

Have you tried restarting the box?
