One of the ads Spotify has been running for the past couple of weeks is very poorly focused. It basically says: the new year is coming and sure, you could start going to the gym or fulfill any number of resolutions and goals, but why don't you try one that you can easily do which is get Spotify Premium for $x before the end of December 31st blah blah blah.

 

Every time that ad comes on, it's like the guy talking is telling the listener: HEY! You aren't capable of accomplishing what you set yourself out to do, so do this simple thing were you pay for our service to feel like you did achieve something.

 

Terrible ad, when they could've given that same premise a positive focus.
