Sonos

Sonos

I have a Spotify Premium account which plays on my Sonos speaker.  From time to time the music just plain stops and I have to start it up again.  Does anyone know why this happens?  I appreciate your help.

Hey Im experience the same issue here. I was previously using Google Play Music and the music on Sonos always worked flawlessly. Now with Spotify, the music sometimes stops on Sonos for no reason! What is wrong with Spotify?

There are any number of things wrong with Spotify,  worst amongst them
is its primitive sense of customer service.  I subscribe to Spotify only
because Amazon Music is not available as an App on Sonos in Canada.  As
soon Amazon solves whatever copyright problem it has with Canadian
copyright holders and is available on Sonos I'll drop Spotify.  Amazon
has excellent customer service and I always support those companies that
value their customers.  That being said, this is how I solved the
problem of Spotify suddenly stopping when playing on the Sonos speaker.

I received an email from someone at Spotify giving me a long list of
things to do to solve the problem.  I only understood about 50% of the
things I was supposed to do so I didn't even attempt to do them.  One of
the steps was to uninstall the app from Sonos and reinstall it.  I
thought about that and this and realized that I was using Spotify by
logging into the Spotify App and selecting the Sonos speaker.  I decided
to reverse the process and sign into Spotify through Sonos, where
Spotify is an included app.  Doing it this way meant that I didn't have
to choose anything as Sonos only plays on Sonos.  I haven't had the
problem since then.

There are many things about Spotify I don't understand and so far have
been able to find a book that will help but I do manage to find music
that I like and, as I said, it will hold me until I can get Amazon Music.

I hope this helps,
Richard
