Spotify Connect: Denon Connection Loss (Network Restart)

Solved!

Spotify Connect: Denon Connection Loss (Network Restart)

hello, i have the following problem.

Since few days i cannot use spotify connect to my denon receiver (4100w) anymore.

The  connection itself works and it plays music for 1 second, but immediately after connect it seems the receiver loses network connection and restarts the service.

before I never had any problems. No changes in my network, firmware or receiver settings. Only spotifuggle version is new.

tried to reboot everything, set static ip to receiver, reinstalled spotify on mobile and pc, no solution.

please help, I'm not able to use it anymore 😞

Br, sebastian.

Hey everyone!

We're seeing some reports that this is fixed for a lot of people.

Can you let us know if you're still having this issue?

Thanks 🙂

It's fixed for me since yesterday afternoon.

Thanks guys for the support !

Hello Adam_B, the user with nickname Zorian is still having problems.

I asked him to join this thread.

What's a Spotify Rock Star

, and how do I become one?

Indeed, I do still have this issue in the Netherlands.
It connected very quickly initially, but after 2 songs it stopped working and crashed again when it attempted to go to song 3.
The playlist in which it occurred: https://open.spotify.com/user/larsgrevelink/playlist/2bM3AlbSqulFIdZO7J2a8r

I have a Denon X1100W, hardwired to 500Mbit glassfiber and a static IP assigned. UPnP on, ports forwarded.

This morning I still have problems with my  Denon AV-X3100W (Netherlands) when switching to other playlists (reconnecting).

And when in a number choosing to start number at specific time (no response) ...

I do see improvements; I am able to play numbers in onde playlist.

I just tried the players provided by Zorian and I get the same problems as
before... My Denon AVR-X4100W stops playing and wants to reassign the
network.

The albums tracks I have played by my own choice have all worked since
yesterday evening.

I can confirm that the playlist Slam!FM Top 40 (Updated weekly: August 25th) makes the problem occur again.

Hi everyone,

I just received the following message from Denon UK support :

"Response By Email (Patrick) (28/08/2015 10:28)

28/8/2015: RESOLVED: Problems with Spotify Connect Playback

After some changes to the Spotify server, Spotify Connect works flawlessly again with our units. We apologise for any inconvenience this caused to you."

I still have to test at home but I hope it will be resolved for everyone of us...

(the ticket I opened was for a Denon N9)

What about the same problem with Pioneer SC-2023 receiver ?

I"ve been playing random playlist since 2 hours, no problem so far !

Excellent... WAF is positive again 🙂

Works fine tonight, hope it stays like that 🙂

I'll test the tracks that made the problem occur, later tonight.

Hopefully it works 100% now. 🙂

Works again for me too (Denon Ceol Piccolo N4).

A faster response from Spotify than I've come to expect.

Thanks Spotify!

It is working very well here, too! 🙂

Great!
