My Question or Issue
Using Spotify Connect on my Roberts Stream 65i results in frequent stuttering at the start of songs, when they have been individually selected. If songs are allowed to play sequentially there is no stuttering.
The symptoms occur whether I am controlling Spotify Connect via my Android phone, my Windows laptop or directly on my Roberts radio.
Playing songs via Bluetooth works ok, so the evidence would suggest an issue with the Spotify Connect on my Roberts radio.
Hey @westhillman,
Thanks for getting in touch with us 🙂
In this case it's a good idea to check out the requirements to use Spotify Connect here. If the device is compatible, we'd suggest you restart both devices and try again. It's also important that the Spotify version and device firmware are up to date.
If the device is not compatible, as an alternative you can play songs via Bluetooth.
If you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We'll be happy to help.
Thanks for your your reply, but usual checks have already been done. Roberts Radio say there are no updates available from their end, but I would like to think that Spotify would liaise with equipment manufacturers to iron out any problems with their Spotify Connect App. As I say, all the evidence points to a fault with Spotify Connect.
Hey @westhillman,
Thanks for getting back to us 🙂
It's a good idea to try restarting the router and then to try again. If that doesn't do the trick, you can give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall. By doing that you can make sure the app is up-to-date and the cache is not causing any issues.
If that doesn't help, we'd suggest you try with another account. That way we can check if it's an account-related issue. Does the issue persist?
Keep us posted! We'll be right here if you have any questions.
Thanks, but as I said all checks carried out.
I think I will just stick with Bluetooth, its tried and tested and never fails.
