Hi Folks,
Wonder if you can help me with the following issue...
I have a webpage in development here:
There is a boombox graphic that is supposed to hold the Spotify Play Button, but after following the instructions for embedding this widget, I receive a 502 Bad Gateway error, and this has not changed since trying to add this item to my page.
What's weirder is that when I test the page live, I see another copy of the Googlemap that I already have in that page, brought into the DIV that I have set-up for the Spotify playlist. Just to confirm, the Googlemap DIV is called 'map', and the Spotify DIV is called 'spotify'. The Spotify DIV only contains the Spotify iFrame code that i obtained from here:
https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/widgets/spotify-play-button/#generator
I have followed the insructions to obtain my URI, but alas I get the 502 error everytime.
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance.
Hi - Thanks for the advice. I'll give that a go!
Hi Robbie,
I just spent ages making a new 200 song playlist (would be great to be able to duplicate a playlist, edit & select mutiple tracks at a time to speed this process up a bit), and pasted the new code into the page:
<iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify:user:dubjamcg:playlist:3Q8AHy2ZBHpWLT7ZO4txPv" width="300" height="80" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>
Still nothing.
Any ideas?
Hey,
Thanks for trying this. Sorry it's a bit late but if you drag the playlist to '+ New Playlist' it'll duplicate it for you. You can also hold shift/control/command to select multiple tracks just like other files.
I'll let the right people know about this one. Just as another quick test, do you have any problems with an embed made of, say, 10 totally different/popular tracks?
Thanks for your patience here. We'll update you as we learn more.
Edit: Please keep this playlist on your account so we can prod at it.
Reducing to 10 tracks worked!
<iframe src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify:user:dubjamcg:playlist:3LUtlOaSXP1aNnXxpC8B27" width="300" height="80" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>
So, with this in mind, should I start to add tracks in small batches until it breaks & then go back to the last amount where it worked?
Glad we are at the final hurdle.
🙂
Just used your method to duplicate the list & reduced to 100 tracks. That's working so I'll go with that 🙂
Thanks for all your help!
Hey! No worries, glad to hear you've had some success. Thanks for letting us know.
We'll keep looking at the original playlist for you, but it might take a bit longer. Hope the new one's alright to use.
Much appreciated. I'm sure the 100 track playlist will keep us going 🙂
Many thanks for all your help. I'll add the 200 track playlist shortly & let you know if there are any problems.
Best Regards & thanks again!
After seeing this topic, I got the same problem with the top 100 songs of spotify.
For an example see jource.com.
Hope there is a fix for this.
