Spotify added Taylor Swift to my public playlist?

Spotify added Taylor Swift to my public playlist?

I recenetly shared a 90s music list I made via Facebook, and the preview shows Taylor Swift as the first song (see below). I have not now or ever included Taylor Swift on this or any playlist. This is fairly embarrassing. Is this a sneaky marketing ploy?

Hello & welcome to the community!

Just to verify, would you mind sharing the playlist link with me?

It is weird that you see that. Taylor Swift isn't available at Spotify.

Also that doesn't seem like a Spotify playlist.

Feel free to give the playlist link here or by a private message.

Hello again.

I checked the playlist and I can see the track there.

It's unplayable due to Taylor Swift not being on Spotify, but you can still add the track to your playlist.

The problem can be fixed by just deleting the song from the playlist.

Hope this helps! ♫

Hi again,

I cannot see it on there in my Spotify, greyed out or otherwise it is not
there. How can you see it and I can't? Is there another way of editing my
list?? Thanks again.

Seems weird how I can see it but you can't.

Maybe if you try on another device you can see the song and can remove it.

It does not appear when I check it on my Android device. Are you seeing
other songs that are not available at your end?

I see some songs from artists who don't even have songs on Spotify.

Is there any way you might have added those?

All very mysterious, as I do not have Taylor Swift songs on my computer,
nor can I see these files in my own devices. Does it matter that I am in
the UK?

Is there any chance the playlist is collaborative?

Also, have you tried closing and reopening the Spotify client to see if you can see the songs?

Interesting - the playlist was formerly collaborative before I switched it
to a public playlist. Does this mean someone else could have added it from
their device? As far as I know only my wife and I had access to it, but she
also does not own any Taylor Swift music.

When a playlist is collaborative, the people who are following it are able to add songs.

If the playlist is collaborative you should be able to see a column saying which user added each song.

Now, a public playlist means it can be found by searching its name on the search bar.

If a playlist is marked as private, it can only be found when the playlist link is given.
