Spotify connect hacked

Spotify connect hacked

Hey there,

I beleive my spotify has been hacked. Over the last couple of days my playlists have been disappearing and random ones pop up, with music i'd never listen to. People that i have been following have been unfollowed and some random dudes have been followed. When im streaming my music will randomly stop and play on an unknown iphone or playstation without my authority, when i swith back to my phone the random music from the weird playlists will be playing.

I reset my passwords and loogged out of all devices but they stilll seem to be able to access my spotify connect.

Has anyone encuntered this problem?

Please help.

Cheers in adavance

I'm having the exact same issue, it has only started this morning.

About an hour ago i had someone connected as 'Daniels Android' login and start playing tracks. I only noticed because i was also playing music. I removed the deviced and quickly changed my password.

I think it's likely that account details have been leaked and probably being share / sold.

Glad i caught this in time!

I checked on https://haveibeenpwned.com/ and it showed no breach for spotify hmmm.

This story speaks otherwise!

Has anyone had success in fixing this? Someone hacked my account, but also changed my password AND email so any reset passwords go to an email I don't have access to.

I have emailed Spotify a ton of times and no one seems to want to help.

I've had no success so far 😞 they still show up on my Spotify connect and
contantly interrupt when I'm streaming

Same to me!!!

Spotify, wake up!!!!

Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

Think im a victim as well. Do we need to be concerned about our credit card information as well?

Same here - first encounter also on 2017-02-18 in the evening.
Contacted Spotify Support, they reset my account, but same issue happened again today!

Logging into Spotify via Facebook with 2-Factor Auth enabled and no funny login attempts into Facebook registered - so seems to be Spotify problem with Connect.

I'm also guessing there is a problem with Spotify Connect linking instaces of spotify between different accounts.
