When asking Alexa to play a song or playlist from Spotify it keeps saying "To play Spotify enable the skill and link your account". This is occurring with 2 Echo Dots 4th gen.

I have tried the troubleshooting noted in this thread with no success.
I also tried linking and unlinking via the web version of Alexa setup on alexa.amazon.com
Help resolving this issue would be great as these devices are for my kids thanks

We recommend that you use the Alexa app to link your Spotify account. That usually resolves issues like the one you're experiencing. You can find a detailed guide on how to do this here.
If that doesn't do the trick, please perform a clean reinstall of both the Spotify and Alexa apps. That way if any damaged files are interfering with the account link, they'll get replaced. You can find the relevant steps for the Spotify app here.
