Spotify on Gear Fit 2 - can't use it as a remote for other soruces

Hey all, 

I just bought the Gear Fit 2 in order to fullfill two use cases:

#1: Remote Control, Daily Usage

Setup: Gear Fit 2 > BT > iPhone; BT Headset > BT > iPhone,

Spotify > Gear Fit (remote control) > iPhone

=> Didn't get this to work at all 😕 

Is this possible at all? Saw it working on several youtube videos, but i'm not sure about the software version that were used.

#2: Phoneless Workout-Sessions

Setup: BT Headset > BT > Gear Fit,

Spotify > Gear Fit

=> Seems to work, but a little buggy.

I reall hope that I made things clear, if not feel free to ask me for further explanations.

I know, the Gear Fit 2 is a old niche product, but will you improve the app version thats currently available?
