Using USB with my Nexus 5

I downloaded Spotify Launcher, exe and downloaded music to my USB.  Since my Nexus 5 has very little memory, I have to play from a USB.  How do I play the music on my USB with the Spotify app on my phone?  Looking to default my player to the USB instead of internal memory.  Ughhhh!! Anyone??

Hey there @kirish and welcome to the community! I'm not sure it's going to work that way as Spotify plays local music on the device or music from the web. The USB wouldn't really be "on" the device.

Thank you. I saw a video where someone explained how you can download Spotify to your flashdrive and open Spotify from the flashdrive to hear the downloaded music. Doesn't work on the Nexus- at least I couldn't figure it out.
