My Question or Issue

Was listening to an album and all of a sudden a song doesn't start. Went back and clicked Pause/Play and nothing happened. Went on to play a different album from same band and it didn't work. Then tried to play a playlist and it worked. Went back to a different band/album and it didn't play, but was then able to play this last band's older album.

This seems like a random thing. Can someone confirm the problem?

This seems related to an older issue: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ongoing-Issues/Web-Player-Firefox-Web-Player-won-t-start-the-next-t...

I think I see a pattern: if the current song is longer than the one before it, it takes some time to start playing. If the current song is shorter than the one before it, it starts playing just fine.

Example:

The song Gruesome by band Gruesome (https://open.spotify.com/track/4zWGbJbgET8NhWfvapfKsE) started after about 1minute of silence, but the next song, Land of No Return (https://open.spotify.com/track/2o8SxAcojgN8ucV0KNeAZ0) started just fine. Then, queuing their last album and playing the first song off of it took about 1m30s of silence.
