Web Player Will Not Play Music on Specific Account

Recently, the web player has stopped working on my account. I can log in, browse, search songs or playlists, etc. but when I click play nothing happens. It doesn't matter what it is, when I click the play button it does nothing. I tried all the usual fixes and none of them worked, the problem even persists between different browsers.

I then had a friend sign in to their account, and when they clicked play, it worked. It seems that whatever the problem is, it is localized to my account. I checked my email and my account page, but there is nothing to indicate what is going on.

I'm at a loss, anyone have an idea what's happening?

Hey @RASR

That's a peculiar issue, however I do have something for you to try out 🙂

Try this:

1. Point your cursor on the album cover where the play symbol appears.

2. Start clicking fast the play cover button, press F5 for refresh while still clicking fast.

3. Keep clicking until the page has fully reloaded.

Then the player is available again for you to use. If it doen't work at the first time, try a second time.

Let me know what happens!

By some sort of black magic or miracle, that fixed the problem.

I have no idea how you knew to do that, but thanks for the help.
