Web player links opening under software instead

For some reason, when I tweet out a link which is a web player link, when you click on the post, it doesn't go to the website, but instead tries to open under the software.

I want it to go to the artist page on the web, not load it in the software.

I'm not sure if this is a twitter issue, or if I am using the wrong link.

The link is a correct Spotify URL. Paste it into the address bar and it takes you to the web player.

I suspect that you should take a quick look into your desktop Spotify's settings. There's one setting that allows Spotify to be opened from the web. Disallow it, and now you should be redirected to the web player by clicking on the links.
