Web player not working

Solved!

Web player not working

I am unable to listen to anything on the web player in chrome, firefox, and explorer. My company doesn't allow us to use the app but I'd really like to be able to use my subscription at work. I've tried using spotify's "log out everywhere" and closing all apps on my phone. A previous solution posted was to use your phone to play through the web browser but my phone cannot be on my company wifi so that is not possible from what I understand. Any suggested solutions? Why does the web player seem so problematic for spotify and how can I get a service I'm paying for to work?

Hey @ccourtney

I suggest trying out the following tips:

1. Ensure that "This web player" is selected in the Spotify Connect button, it's between Queue and Volume.

2. Wipe your browser's cookies and cache.

3. Go to a random album and hit the three dots on any song to select "Copy song link". Now paste this to your browser's address bar and hit Enter.
This should force the web player to open the album and start playing the song. Hit play if it doesn't play anything yet.

4. Go to Spotify webpage, log in if you're not logged in yet and select any album in the "Jump back in" section. This should open the web player and make it play the album you selected.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

Thank you! I wasn't able to select anything on the Spotify connect button until clearing cookies and cache so then once I could select it, that worked!
