Won't connect to car bluetooth

Hello all,

I have a Chevy 2015 Sonic with bluetooth. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy 7. For whatever reason, I can not get Spotify to connect with my car radio. I've tried pairing and unpairing my phone, but it never shows up. My phone connects fine, it's just Spotify. I just want to use the little buttons on my steering wheel to change the songs. I've looked up things on it, but I can't seem to find anything. What should I try doing? Also, it's not a MyLink radio, it's just your basic car radio.

Should I get a radio transmitter to try? What are some things I could try to get it to work?
