not able to sync local files

i have been using spotify for years but only since i upgraded to a iphone 6s (then to a Moto Z and now to an iphone 7) have i had the issue of not being able to sync the local files on my desktop client to my phone.

it has been the same across any device newer than the iphone 5s and i am Tired. i have been through several forums in as many months and no 'solution' has worked.

music is how i cope and as much as i love Spotify it doesn't have everything, which is why i need my local files so badly. a music app should not be causing so much stress(!) please add the 'Sync Playlist' option back as soon as possible or i'm afraid i will have to take my business somewhere else, as this is far too vexing and troublesome to be worth it

photo: the songs show up on my phone but will not sync or play. instructions given when u press 'learn more' do not account for the fact that there IS NO 'sync' option on spotify desktop OR mobile anymore
