"Don't play this artist" in Daily Mix not working

I am on a premium plan using one of the Daily Mix playlists and wanted to stop a song from being played again on that playlist, and noticed that I can instead just "ban" the artist altogether from it, but after doing so, I still get songs from that artist in that playlist. I do not get the same song, but I do get songs from the same artist and album, regardless of whether or not there is an extra artist for that song. I have selected "Don't play this artist" three times on three different songs, but I still get that artist playing every so often. This happens on Android/Windows 10/Xbox One Spotify App. Any ideas about what could be going on?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with this. We'll definitely be able to help out though.

Does logging out and back in after banning an artist help? You can also try a clean reinstall to see if it helps.
