spotifuggle Connect on AV receiver?

Hello.

I just found out that new AVRs support Spotify Connect. Does this mean that you have to have a premium account info added to your AVR before you can use Spotify Connect or do you just need that on the device that's controlling the AVR?

Few of my friends have spotify premium and I'd like them to be able to play music from their phones through my AVR when they come by. I dont have premium subscription myself (yet ;)).

Hi. You do need a premium subscription to be able to use spotify on a partner hardware device. Connect then enables you to control that device from your mobile, connect-enabled device. It's not a way of streaming to the AVR so even if your friends have premium, the AVR won't be able to access spotify.
