Ability to block or hide podcasts and artists

Having the ability to block podcasts you don’t want to see or artists you don’t want to listen to would be very helpful. I accidentally clicked on a podcast that I have no interest in listening to and I can not get it out of my home page. Being able to block it would be very helpful

The suggested response is all lies. You cannot block podcasts. Spotify is an evil company actively foisting right wing podcasts on all users. Shame on everyone who works for this company.

But the problem isn't solved. Everything about Spotify is about curating based on the listener taste and yet for whatever reason podcasts don't get included with this functionality. That just means that this will keep people from using spotify's podcasts and if it's revenue generating hurts Spotify's business. Worse it gives a sense of endorsement of a particular point of view. Educated consumers don't want their monthly subscriptions going towards propaganda that they disagree with.

You're just really not going to fix this? How many comments and likes do you need? I've paid premium over 10 years now and will jump ship as soon as I get  a viable option. Why can't you let people reject and block podcasts or music easily? Just add a thumbs down! Same with the idiotic Jam "feature". Didn't ask for it, don't want to ever use it, don't want to hear about it but still I had to switch off Spotify permission to run on background to stop it messing with my music. Now I just keep getting another stupid popup "Allow spotify to run on background?"

Calling this issue 'solved' is aggravating. It is not. If anything it's 'partially' solved for the artist case. Just as aggravating is your acknowledgment , "we understand where you are coming from"? DO YOU? You are now causing fighting in my household as I'm the paying user for our premium family account and told my family we're moving off of Spotify and my kids and wife don't understand or appreciate that we have no ability to control the podcasts you are shoving our faces, auto-playing, etc. Personally, I've switched my podcast listening to another provider but I have NO WAY to even block or disable podcasts entirely, see that idea here , also referenced in this 'solution' . 

Having solved this for artists has to get you 90% of the way to the solution here from a cost perspective assuming your engineering department is remotely thoughtful. What could possibly hold this up for years from being implemented. Could it be that Spotify makes $ from promoting podcasts and this perversely incentivizes you to keep the status quo? 

Please prove me wrong. I don't want to **bleep** my family off, they love your service, as would I if you'd listen.

You guys really need to give people control over what Podcasts keep popping up. Unlike music podcasts are.political, religious, socioeconomic etc and have the ability to truly offend.

Hi, it would be really great if you could give us the option to atleast say it we do or don’t like a suggested podcast or music or audiobook, that way it can curate better suggestions for us, having certain things suggested to me consistently on the app that I am not interested in is super annoying and if you’re not gonna let us block things at least let us interact with things in a way that allows us to accurately tailor our tastes. Thank you

All the rubbish that I was able to block on YouTube, like gamers and tiktokers, magically reappeared on Spotify. This is extremely unhetical, especially towards premium and family users.

For those looking for relief without dropping your subscription and going to Apple Music or other service the best thing you can do is to simply stop listening to podcasts with Spotify entirely. After what is probably a month or two they algorithm stops recommending any podcasts so for the default, and maddeningly unconfigurable, “all” view it will revert to just music.

Make it so i can select an artist and block them. I got a podcast that cones up after every podcast automatically and i cant click not interested because it doesnt show up on my podcast page.

After every podcast, tucker carlson starts **bleep**in playing. I WANT TO BLOCK THAT PODCASTER SPECIFICALLY. i never want to hear that lie spewing a-hole for the rest of time in perpetuity.
