Ad in podcasts (and I'm not talking about endorsement)

My Question or Issue

I listen to this podcast a while now and I notice some ad in the past chapters. It´s at the beginning and the end and clear the ad is not part of the chapters, it´s even en Spanish and is advertising for some things here in my country. As far as I know, if I pay a premium account, it´s ad free right? Besides the ones that are recommendation or endorse the podcast, I thought there´s not going to be more ads...

Does this happen with a certain podcasts or any podcast you listen to? Also, send me a screenshot of the ad you're seeing (make sure that you hide sensitive information when posting to the Community).

Also, try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps.

Hey! Thanks for getting in touch. I´m not sure how I can show you the ad...
it's an audio ad for some university here in Perú and it's in Spanish. The
podcast is Let's Read, and I was listening to some old chapters and this ad
just pop up at the beginning and at the end.

Thanks for the details!

Keep in mind that podcasters can now include dynamic ads into their episodes, so this may explain why you're seeing the ads in those episodes. There's more info on ads in podcasts in this Spotify Answer.

Oh, I see! Could be it, but if, it’s a bummer... It’s so annoying and with
a premium account I thought that I would be ad free (at least this high
pitch, loud annoying voice ones).

Please help us vote here to get this addressed. I agree and totally think it's ridiculous. I've been a user for nearly 10 years. I pay for ad-free content, therefore my content should be ad-free. Just wait until musicians start embedding ads into their tracks.

Even though there are tons of community ideas about this already and pre-existing votes, Spotify keeps marking this idea inactive every year so each year we have to vote again. Pass on to your Spotify friends.
