Alexa won't play audiobooks playlists

Alexa won't play audiobooks playlists

I have terrible luck getting Alexa to play specific songs, it frequently will select something very obscure. To keep it simple and just ask for a playlist and it usually gets the right one.
I cannot get audio books working with Alexa voice commands. If I say the book title I usually get something totally different playing. I figured I’d make life simple. I created a playlist called “bed” , dropped my books in and “Alexa play bed playlist” should work. Nope. If I remove the books and put music in, it’ll work fine. If I put one book in Alexa says “playing bed playlist“ but nothing shows up on the screen and nothing plays.

Is there a better way?

Hi there @GTdroidQUAD,

Thanks for reaching out!

At the moment, playlists can be used to organize your audiobooks and pick them individually to listen to, but it’s unfortunately not possible to play the entire playlist. There's also currently no way to set Spotify as default for audiobooks in Alexa so that's probably why it isn’t giving you the correct results over voice control, but you can try using Spotify Connect instead for now.

Hope this clears things up.
