Amazon Tap won't sync after playing with Spotify via Bluetooth in car, help!

I love playing Spotify in my car via Bluetooth, but when I get back in the house and try to play it via my Amazon Tap, I can't get it to sync.  I can tell Alexa to play Spotify after I have it on - on my phone, but it plays what it wants to and it isn't what it playing at that time.  I no longer have to option to change the device through Spotify.  I have tried to uninstall/reinstalled, setting it up again through the Alexa app, etc....I don't know what else to do!  Maybe a more advance techy person can help!  Please!
