App not connecting to account properly

I just downloaded the Spotify app onto my windows phone. when I log into my account none of my playlists appear and it keeps offering for me to upgrade to premium. It basically looks like a brand new unused account. However the details I logged in with correlate with my premium account that has loads of saved artists and playlists. I can't work out how  to fix this, any help would be much appreciated!
