Are Daily Mixes created using genre info?

Hi,

I really like the current Daily Mix feature - it's great for discovering new music and also for noticing new patterns in my listening habits and crossovers between genre that I hadn't noticed before. For example, I'm listening to a cool mix right now that covers funk (Fela Kuti, War, Stevie Wonder), soul (Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye), synth pop (Eurythmics?!), and Prince. It holds together well, but I don't think it was created using genre info. I was wondering if someone from Spotify could confirm.

The reason that I'm asking is because I found the latest Year in Review was really disappointing due to its artist/genre/album focus. Discovering that I like "Rock" music tells me less than nothing -- is there a way to visualize the listening patterns that inform the Daily Mixes?
