Artist no longer on Spotify but artist page URL still opens

Casual Listener

It seems that if an artist no longer is on Spotify, the artist URL ( doesn't dissapear or become invalid, it still opens the artist page but it has no music. If you proceed to search for the artist in Spotify however, there are no results.

Can these types of links be reported/deleted? It can be a bit problematic/misleading that there are cached links like these in search engines like Google that suggest that the artists music is available on Spotify when it's not (links that you cannot get deleted from search engines as long as the link appears to be active).

Been wondering about this for along time...

Hey @Unanswered_man.

We want all the world’s music and podcasts on Spotify, but availability can vary over time and between countries, depending on the permissions from rights holders.

The good news is: We add new content to Spotify every day, so if you can’t find something you’re looking for right now, it may appear (or reappear) soon, so please check back! You don't need to report these artists to us.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Have a nice day.

Hello, @Guido

My question is about the links/URLs of artists that are no longer on Spotify, not the availability of music.

How to delete the link of an empty artist page that is left from when the music was on Spotify years ago.

Please respond!
