Autoclose now playing after ads

Whenever I closes the now playing tab, it again pops up when an ad is playing, after the ad is done now playing tab is not closed automatically and i have to do it myself everytime

Hi, this problem keeps happening for me and has been happening since the introduction of the new now playing tab.

Once an ad starts playing the now playing tab is opened automatically (there is no setting to disable this) and stays open even after the ad ends.

I hate that new now playing tab, it's just a waste of space and would rather be able to keep seeing my friends' activity without having to close it every time.

I'm on the Spotify app on MacOS 26.0 on a MacBook Air M1.
