I don't understand why you all support the Spotify app for old OS 4/5 (2008-2010) Blackberry's and not OS 7 (2011 - present) ?
The new OS 7 phones are more than capable. They are so much faster and have touch screens.
Also, since CDMA devices aren't supported, why isn't there a wifi-only option then? Its extremely frustrating that I have to use a separate device to use Spotify because they wont support my Bold 9930 that is more than capable of running the app.
With OS 10 coming up will Spotify finally be supported then?
Can you please follow the topic posting guidelines here. I'm going to lock this thread for now.
See the link in my signature if you want to see Spotify on BB10 😉
Also, if your phone is not officially supported (my Bold 9900 is and it is OS7) then you can still download the application from m.spotify.com

Thanks for replying!
I have a 9930 on Verizon so its not supported. I went to m.spotify.com just for kicks and downloaded the non-CDMA version for Blackberry and when I launch it, it says "The disk is full. Please free up some space." and closes.
Do you have 50mb of storage space free after the application install?
Spotify requires the extra space to cache content.

I have:
64.7mb of free Application storage
5 GB of free Built-in media storage
864kb of free Media Card Storage
Is it using media card storage?
My phone uses media card storage I'm pretty sure. Its hard to tell, I can see from file manager that I have a Spotify folder on the device memory and on the memory card. My guess is it is using the memory card, and the folder on the device memory is just left over from before I had the memory card.

You're right about the media card. I deleted some stuff to free up space and it launches.
But now I get the error message "Spotify is not supported on your device" over the login page and it closes 😞
Is it a CDMA device?

Yes. I have the 9930 on Verizon. Is there a specific reason why it doesnt work on CDMA devices?
There are issues decoding the .ogg stream format on CDMA networks. Don't know any more detail than that!
Its been the same since the application was released to 😞

Oh. They should at least have the option to stream over wifi.
Thanks for your help though. I really appreciate it!
